Many people have lost their loved ones to the pandemic, and as a result, they have developed severe stress, depression, and anxiety (Usher et al., 2020). Mental health has mostly impacted people with financial problems and have lost their jobs. Individuals who have lost their loved ones to the pandemic are also risk developing mental health problems.

Currently, people with mental problems due to the pandemic experience fear, anxiety, depression, and are sad. If the situation is one solved, these individuals have higher chances of committing suicide or lose their mind totally.

Access to mental health care services can be improved through making the services affordable by reducing the cost of mental care and improving the number of health facilities providing mental care services. The affordability of mental health care services can only be achieved through healthcare policy.

The next step is scheduling an appointment with the legislature to speak to him about the policy. Lastly, I will avail myself during the appointment and present my case to the legislator and urge him to support the policy and introduce it to the legislature as a bill.

The second step is introducing the bill to the floor of the house. The bill will be introduced in the senate because the legislator is a senator.
